How will I know where to vote?

Do I have to be registered to vote?
No. You need to bring identification with you to your polling stations. For the list of acceptable ID, please go to "How Do I Vote?"
What can I expect when I go to my polling place to vote?
When you arrive, you will be asked for identification and to give your statement of Elector eligibility. You will be given a ballot and shown to your voting compartment. After voting, you will hand your ballot (in its secrecy sleeve) to a Deputy Returning Officer for immediate insertion into the ballot box.
Can I vote at a different polling station or for a subdivision other than my own?
Am I allowed time off work to vote?
Under the Local Authorities Act you are entitled to 3 consecutive hours to vote. Polls are open from 9am to 8pm. Your regular work schedule may already allow for 3 consecutive hours during the time that the polls are open. If you work day starts are noon, or ends by 5pm, you have the 3 hours required by legislation are not entitled to additional time off. If you work schedule does not allow you this time you will need to speak with your employer to schedule 3 hours to vote.
Controlled Burn Notifications
The Special Areas Board has issued a Fire Ban for all of Special Areas. Existing Controlled Burns are suspended or cancelled, no new burns will be permitted.
