EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I - Camp Attendant
YOUNGSTOWN – The Special Areas Board is seeking applications for a seasonal/wage camp attendant to maintain camp accommodations for the Soil Cement/Shoulder Pull crew. Duties include: placing shoulder stakes on roadway, moving road signs, marking culverts, fueling and maintaining equipment within camp, keeping all camp facilities clean and orderly, maintaining all camp supplies, maintaining freshwater levels within camp, and operating various equipment when required. Accurate and timely document management is important to success in this role.
The successful candidate will have strong time management and organization skills. The ability to work independently while completing assigned tasks in a timely and conscientious manner is key to success. A basic understanding of heavy equipment operations and preventative maintenance systems would be an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS – The successful applicant will be a mature, personable, safety conscious individual with reasonable communication and writing skills. He/she will possess a valid Class 5 Operator’s License and have completed grade twelve (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). The successful applicant must meet physical requirements of the position.
