Equipment Operator I – Flagger

WAGE: $24.9833/HOUR

 YOUNGSTOWN – The Special Areas Board is seeking applications for a seasonal/wage equipment flagger for the chip crew. Duties include: managing and moving signage daily in as per Alberta Transportation Traffic Accommodations within the construction site, control flow of traffic to ensure overall safety of the Special Areas worksite, daily inventory inspections of the signage, general labor, fueling and maintenance of equipment, and operating various equipment when required. Accurate and timely document management is important to success in this role.

The successful candidate will have exceptional communications, time management and organization skills. The ability to work independently while completing assigned tasks in a timely and conscientious manner is key to success. A basic understanding of working constructions sites, traffic accommodations and preventative maintenance systems would be an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS – The successful applicant will be a mature, personable, safety conscious individual with exceptional communication and writing skills. He/she will possess a valid Class 5 Operator’s License and have completed grade twelve (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). The successful applicant must meet physical requirements of the position.
