Office Manager – Special Area No. 2 (Hanna)

District Office Manager

Salary: $49,504 to 61,362 Per Annum

Hanna – The Special Areas Board requires a temporary full-time employee to cover a maternity leave in the Hanna District Office. Reporting to the Administrator of Special Area No.2, the successful applicant shall have or acquire an in-depth knowledge of the Special Areas Disposition Regulation, Municipal Government Act, Special Areas Land Use Order, as well as Special Areas policies and procedures.

The Office Manager will be responsible for supervising support staff to complete the following duties:

  •  Municipal Administration
    • Collection of Taxes
    • Collections of Accounts in arrears
    • Secretary to the Agricultural Service Board
    • Utility Billings/Miscellaneous Receivables
    • Petty Cash and Banking Deposits
  • Land Administration
    • Public Lands - Preparation and Review of Agricultural & Miscellaneous Leases and Permits, Collection of Lease Rentals
    • Deeded Lands - Special Areas Land Use Order
  • Project Administration
    • Community Pastures
    • Recreation Grant Allocations in Special Area No.2
    • Assist with various Municipal projects
  • Maintaining accuracy in all operations of the District Office No.2 is essential.


  • Post-Secondary Degree or Certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, or Administrative Assistant training with several years related experience
  • Local Government Services course is an asset
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, highly developed oral and written skills and computer competence are essential
  • Equivalencies will be considered
