Wanda Diakow is the economic development officer serving the Special Area No. 3 & 4 regions.

Having lived and worked in the rural environment she is aware of the needs of a rural community and is dedicated to advancing economic development in the Special Areas. She enjoys working with individuals or community groups toward a common goal and finds the synergy of a community working together to be most the most rewarding aspect of her work.

Harvest Sky Economic Development Corporation

The Harvest Sky Economic Development Corporation (HSEDC) is a non-profit, arm’s length organization, formed in 2012 which builds economic development strategies for the region including Special Area No. 2, Town of Hanna, and the Village of Youngstown. They are focused on telling the story of the Harvest Sky Region—a strong and proud community—to support existing businesses, and to attract investors, residents, and visitors who will help this region grow and prosper.

Palliser Economic Partnership

The Palliser Economic Partnership facilitates regional cooperation between creative and diverse communities to position Southeast Alberta as an ideal location for business investment.
