Special Areas Parks Fall 2020 Operations

With fall upon us, Special Areas Parks have moved into reduced operations. Many campgrounds remain available for camping until October 15; however, services may be impacted due to weather and staffing restrictions.

Please be prepared to pay in cash as access to debit/credit machines is limited at this time. Fees remain the same ($35/night serviced sites, $20/night unserviced sites) throughout the fall shoulder season.

Visitors to Special Areas Parks are reminded to check with all current fire restrictions (www.albertafirebans.ca) at to comply with all posted signage.

Alberta Provincial Parks (operated in partnership by Special Areas for the 2020 season)

Gooseberry Provincial Park - seasonal closure effective September 15, 2020

Little Fish Lake Provincial Park - seasonal closure effective September 15, 2020

Special Areas Municipal Parks

Prairie Oasis Park - reduced service levels (i.e. potable water at serviced sites), potable water available at the west shower building until October 15.

Blood Indian Park - reduced service levels (i.e. potable water at serviced sites), potable water available at Blood Indian Truck Fill (south of Trading Post) until October 15.

Carolside Campground - no change to service levels (unserviced camping only), potable water may not be available due to seasonal weather changes.

River Campgrounds - no change to service levels (unserviced camping only).
