07 Aug Permanent Bridge Closure – Effective August 7
Special Areas Board is permanently closing the BF83165 (Robinson) Bridge. This bridge is located on RR 15-3, one mile north of Highway 9.
Inspections confirmed structural issues, and the continued use of the bridge by vehicles above the restricted weight currently permitted creates safety concerns.
Prior to making this decision, the Special Areas engaged in public consultation, including a public hearing on July 28, 2026. This process allowed the Board to hear from affected residents about the proposed closure. After considering all feedback, the Board approved the closure. View the details of the Board Order here. Alternate routes remain available for travel in the area. This closure is necessary to ensure public safety and reduce the risks associated with the deteriorating bridge structure. Signs will be posted advising of the closure, and barricades will be in place to prevent travel across the structure.
