A New Face on Council: Advisory Council welcomes Lee Fryberger

With Brent Horner stepping down from his role as Advisory Councillor for Special Area No. 2, Subdivision 4, the group welcomed a new face this month. Lee Fryberger joined the group of locally elected representatives during their most recent virtual meeting. Lee, who was elected by acclamation earlier this month, will be representing the SA2-SD4 region on the thirteen-member Advisory Council. Born and raised in the Special Areas, Lee ranches near the Wardlow area with his family. Active in the local community, Lee brings his varied experiences from his ranching background as well as his work with the local agricultural society and in community groups.
As a part of the Special Areas response to the COVID-19 virus, meetings of the Advisory Council and the Special Areas Board have been held virtually, with attendees joining from locations throughout the region. This new format has been very successful in allowing the groups to meeting regularly to discuss how the organization is adapting operations in this new normal, while still focusing on safely delivering the critical services ratepayers and residents are relying on.
