Special Areas roadside grass control (cutting ditches) will begin on June 14.
Alberta Transportation is responsible for roadside grass control on primary and secondary highways.
If you wish to harvest the roadside vegetation for hay, please contact your local District Office as soon as possible. This will allow our road crew to plan their work accordingly. Roadside grass control crews will begin cutting requested areas which are not harvested by July 4.
When you contact your district office, we will need to know the location of the road ditch (including north/south/east/west) you are planning to hay and your contact information when you call.
