National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

National Day of Truth and Reconciliation

Today, on September 30, the Special Areas Board recognizes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. In observance of this important day, flags at all Special Areas offices will be flown at half-mast.

We acknowledge the history and ongoing trauma caused by residential schools and honour the survivors, families and communities who continue to grieve for those who were lost.

We encourage you to wear an orange shirt to honour residential school survivors and their families, and to carry the important message that Every Child Matters.
