Hunting Season Information

USE RESPECT. ASK FIRST.

The Special Areas Board reminds all hunters to use respect and ask first.

It is the hunter’s responsibility to ensure they have the proper permission to hunt, whether on private or Crown land. Getting permission should be done at least 2 weeks prior to when they wish to go hunting.

Private landowners have the right to permit or deny access for any reason.

Leaseholders must allow reasonable recreational access to public land as long as the activity does not put the land, crops or livestock at risk. Leaseholders can limit access under certain conditions. Hunters cannot access lease land without a response from the leaseholder.

Landowner information can be found in the Special Areas map book. These are available for purchase at district offices during regular business hours.
