Get Ready for the 2026 Camping Season!
It may look wintery now, but we’re already preparing for camping season in the Special Areas!
Reservation Opening Date
- Reservations for Prairie Oasis Park open: Monday, March 2 at 9:00AM MST
- Reservation Fee: $12 (non-refundable) for online bookings
- Important: You cannot make reservations before this time
How to Reserve
- All reservations for Prairie Oasis Park must be made online only at: https://www.campspot.com/book/prairieoasispark
- Reservations cannot be made at Special Areas offices or through the Parks Information Line (403-854-PARK)
- You can set up your Campspot account in advance (including payment info) at https://www.campspot.com.
- Note: Campsites will not be visible until reservations open on March 2 at 9:00 AM MST.
What Happens When Reservations Open
- You’ll be able to:
- Search available sites by date, site type, and amenities.
- View campsites on the campground map.
- Before March 2 at 9:00 AM MST, you’ll see: “Sorry, there are no sites available matching your current search.”
- After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email and can view your reservations under My Account on Campspot.
2026 Camping Season Details
- Prairie Oasis Park:
- 50 reservable sites
- 51 non-reservable sites
- Includes large group Camp Kitchen Site and small group sites (online reservation only).
- Non-reservable sites: first-come, first-serve
- Fee Changes:
- Serviced sites (power/water or power/water/sewer): $43/unit/night
- Large Group Camp Kitchen Site: $430/night
- Camping fees have been increased for some campsites at Prairie Oasis Park and Blood Indian Park for the 2026 season. Serviced sites, including those with power/water and power/water/sewer, have increased $8/unit/night.
- This increase is the first camping fee increase in over five years, and reflect rising operational costs and campground improvements like push-button showers.
- Seasons:
- Shoulder Season: May 1–14 & Sept 29–Oct 15 (all sites first-come, first-served)
- Summer Season: May 15–Sept 28 (reservable sites online; others first-come, first-served)
Reservation Tips
- Set up your account early! Confirm payment info, email, and phone number at https://www.campspot.com.
- Plan your dates—and have backups! Peak season is late June through August.
- Remember the $12 reservation fee! Non-refundable, even if you cancel or change your booking.
- Explore other campgrounds! Prairie Oasis Park is popular, but there are many other beautiful parks in the Special Areas.
