Did you know that each subdivision in the Special Areas has its own road committee? In total, 13 road committees help guide and support road-related decisions across the region.
What Road Committees Do
Road committees play a key role in how the Special Areas manages local requests related to:
- Road construction
- Road repairs
- Gravelling
- Backtrail maintenance
Every spring, each committee meets to review public requests, set priorities for their subdivision, and make recommendations for the upcoming annual road program.
Sharing Your Road Concerns
Ratepayers who have road project requests or concerns are encouraged to contact their local road committee member. These representatives are the most direct and effective way to share:

Annual Road Program Review
Each spring, road committees review the proposed annual road program, which outlines construction, surfacing, and backtrail repair work planned across the Special Areas for the coming season. Committees set local priorities and recommend any changes needed before the program is finalized.
